A Community Working Together for Children

Welcome to Whitehouse Primary! We’d like to introduce you to the Whitehouse Parents’ Club! Perhaps you’ve heard about our group through various fundraising activities or the supplies and programs we financially support at school. Providing these extras is important to us, but our work goes beyond raising money. We’re always eager to find more great people, like you, who share our mission.

Our mission: promote an environment at school where teachers and administrators can do their best work and our students can do their best learning

Whitehouse Parents’ Club (WPC) supports our school by providing:

  • Playground Equipment
  • Printers & ink for every classroom
  • Summer Reading Program
  • Snacks & Supplies for every classroom
  • Customized year books for purchase
  • Field Trips – Imagination Station, Toledo Zoo, etc
  • Fun assemblies
  • Staff Luncheons during teacher conferences & staff appreciation week

Students enjoy many activities throughout the year offered by the WPC including:

A huge time commitment is not needed! An hour can be a big help and we have positions and activities to fit all schedules and interests.

Whitehouse Parents’ Club meets monthly on Thursdays with free babysitting provided. We hope you’ll join us and get involved! Together, we can make a difference at Whitehouse Primary!

Sponsored Projects


Art to Remember Committee consisting of a Chairperson - provides an opportunity for parents to purchase a child’s artwork that is completed in art class in a more displayable format. This project is completed in a month and is funded by the parents purchasing their child’s artwork on various items provided by a private company contracted to complete this project.

Author Visit Committee consisting of a Chairperson - is held at least annually, typically in conjunction with the Whitehouse Primary School’s spring Right to Read week. This allows students and teachers to experience a more personal connection with books and authors. This project is completed in a week and the expense is paid thru budgeted monies from the Whitehouse Parents’ Club. This event is held at the Whitehouse Primary School.

Book Fair Committee consisting of a Chairperson and Co-Chairperson - is held twice a year, during November parent –teacher conferences and in spring. This project is completed in a week and is funded by the parents purchasing children’s books from Scholastic Books Inc for their children and Whitehouse Primary Teachers. This event is held at the Whitehouse Primary School.

Box Tops Committee consisting of a Chairperson - solicits, collect, organize, and submit General Mills and Betty Crocker Box Tops to the company for monetary rewards for the Whitehouse Parents’ Club. These are collected all year at the Whitehouse Primary School and submitted twice a year to the above companies with all money profited going into the checking account of the Whitehouse Parents’ Club to help support various committees.

Campbell Soup Labels Committee consisting of a Chairperson - solicit, collect, organize, and submit Campbell and other participating labels to the company for monetary rewards for the Whitehouse Parents’ Club. These are collected all year at the Whitehouse Primary School and submitted twice a year to the Campbell Soup Company with points collected to purchase items.
Carnival Committee consisting of a Chairperson - provides a family fun night complete with games and food. This event is completed in September at the Whitehouse Primary School, Whitehouse, Ohio. All monies collected are subtracted from expenses and the profit is deposited in the Whitehouse Parents’ Club checking account to be used to help support other expenses for the Whitehouse Primary School Teachers.

Fundraising Committee consisting of a Chairperson - provides an opportunity for the Whitehouse Parents’ Club to raise monies thru catalog sales and other fundraising incentives to be deposited into the Whitehouse Parents’ Club checking account to be used to help support other expenses for the Whitehouse Parents’ Club.

Membership Committee consisting of a Chairperson - maintains a permanent membership file and prepares annually a membership book in September of each school year. This activity is conducted from her home in Whitehouse, Ohio. Copy services are provided by a commercial company chosen in our area depending on price. Expenses are budgeted and then deducted from our Whitehouse Parents’ Club checking account.

Movie Night Committee consisting of a Chairperson and Co-Chairperson – Monthly treats Whitehouse Primary students to a G-PG rated movie with friends at a $4.00 charge in the Whitehouse Primary School Gymnasium, including snacks consisting of popcorn and bottled water are provided in the Whitehouse Primary School Cafeteria. Money raised from this project is used to cover food and Movie License expenses and the profit is deposited in the Whitehouse Parents’ Club Checking to help support other expenses for the Whitehouse Parents’ Club.

Playground and Grounds Committee consisting of a Chairperson - reviews any needed improvements and any planning documents related to playground and grounds, works in coordination with the Whitehouse Primary School Principal and Whitehouse Primary School physical education teacher. This activity is funded by monetary donations from Parents and special fundraising and deposited in a special account held by the Whitehouse Parents’ Club to only be used to purchase new playground equipment.

Promotions Committee consisting of a Chairperson - gather information and pass along the details to the School families for participation; handles special promotions projects undertaken by the club (Meijer, Target Rewards, etc.) all monies collected come from the company’s listed corporations in the form of a company check and deposited into the Whitehouse Parents’ Club checking account. Services are provided to the Whitehouse Primary School parents and a percentage of the costs are donated to the Whitehouse Parents’ Club. Secret Santa Committee consisting of a Chairperson and Secret Santa Women’s, Men’s, Boys, Girls, Christmas, Toddlers, Pets Table Heads- provides an opportunity for students to shop for a variety of holiday gifts for their families at a $.25- $2.00 price range, at the Secret Santa Shoppe in early December. Most items are crafted by Whitehouse Primary School parents, some items are purchased thru local stores. This is a four day project with many additional hours completed by parents in their homes. This is not a fundraiser; Whitehouse Parents’ Club provides this service to our students. The profits are used to purchase items for the next year and remainder being deposited in the Whitehouse Parents’ Club checking account.

Teacher Appreciation Committee - provides Whitehouse Primary School teachers with encouraging notes and small appreciation gifts several times during the school year, special soaps in the teachers lounge and special food items, during Teacher Appreciation Week, culminating with a teacher meal. All items are donated by the parents or purchased with a budgeted amount of monies from the Whitehouse Parents’ Club.

Yearbook Committee consisting of a Chairperson - takes photos of School events and projects and organizes them for use in the annual School yearbook. Parents purchase completed Whitehouse Primary yearbooks from an outside company. All profits are used to produce and develop the pictures of the Whitehouse Primary Students and yearly activities.
