To learn in a creative way about the 12 Olympians of Ancient Greece.

Objective

To create an attractive and informative brochure about a festival honoring one of the 12 Olympians.

Include information about events, foods, and activites at the festival as well as information about the god or goddess.

Requirements for Brochure

Part 1 Facts of God/Godess
Write one or two paragraphs

* Who are they?

* What are they known for?

*What is their symbol?

* Who are their parents?

Part II Summary of Myth Related to God/Godess

* Summarize the myth in one or two paragraphs (in your own words)

Part III Festival Advertisement

* Include-- Description of events, items sold, food available

* Days the event will take place

* Make the festival unique to your Olympian

Part IV Presentation

Give a 2 - 3 minute presentation discussing the information in your brochure

Remember the brochure needs to be in color and creative.
Points are earned for use of class time and effort.
