Meet The Physical Educator
Hello, my name is Mr. Sabo and I’m the 1st through 4th grade Physical Educator here at Monclova Elementary School. I am a 1996 graduate of Bedford Public schools in Michigan and a 2001 graduate of
Following college, I taught one year for Toledo Catholic Schools (K-8 PE) at Sacred Heart (East Side of Toledo) and Queen of Apostle School (South Side of Toledo). From there I taught 7th grade PE and 8th grade Health for one year at Robinson Jr. High (Toledo Public Schools). I have been teaching PE here at Monclova ever since, and could not be more happy. I enjoy teaching the younger grades and it has been very rewarding. I am currently working on my Graduate degree at The University of Toledo and expect to graduate in 2008 with a degree in Educational Technology. I am very fortunate to be involved with technology and this has lead to the production of this website.
I love sports and that was a major part in my decision to pursue a career in Physical Education. I was involved in a variety of sports growing up and participated in football and track during high school. I played football at UT during the 1997 season and spring football in 1999. I also enjoy exercise and living a healthy lifestyle, which includes lifting weights, playing sand volleyball, and doing my best to eat healthy.
I created this website for many reasons. First, taking courses in Education Technology lead to learning the various computer programs necessary to create this website. Secondly, I wanted to take what I learned in my Graduate program and incorporate that knowledge into my Physical Education program at Monclova. Finally, parents probably hear from their children what they do at school but I wanted to provide a better overall view of what happens during PE classes.
I hope you enjoy access to this website and if you ever have any questions or concerns about myself or the Physical Education Program here at Monclova don’t hesitate to contact me by phone or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
